Chris Martinez
Founder of CAM Software · Mobile engineer
Northwest Arkansas · Working with teams nationwide
About
Chris Martinez founded CAM Software in 2022. The agency is mobile-only: iPhone, Android, tablet, and wearable apps, built, rescued, and audited. Productized around four pillars (Technical Audit, Build, Rescue, Partner), every engagement starts with the audit, and pricing is published.
Chris ships his own consumer apps alongside client work. On Cue Music Player is a SwiftUI app on iOS that solves song selection for mountain bikers and active users using the Apple Music API. AI Calendar Buddy is an iOS app that auto-plans tasks around busy calendars, currently in beta. The discipline of shipping his own apps keeps the client work grounded in real production reality.
Credentials
- Five years of HIPAA experience across ABA therapy apps, e-prescribing (e-Rx) systems, and EHR engagements. Healthcare is a frequent vertical, not the niche, but the compliance instinct is real.
- Founder-operator since 2022. Senior mobile engineer who is also the named contact on every engagement. No agency overhead, no account manager layer.
- US-based, founder-operated. Headquartered in Northwest Arkansas; remote-default delivery for teams nationwide.
- Productized service model. Audit-first methodology, flat-fee scopes, published pricing, 30-day stability window after handoff. Designed for transparency, not for hourly billing inflation.
Stack expertise
CAM Software's stack priority is locked, in this order:
- React Native (priority one). The default for mobile builds and migrations. Largest cross-platform hiring pool, broadest library ecosystem, fastest path to shipped product on iOS and Android.
- Swift and SwiftUI (priority two). When the app needs native iOS depth, ARKit, CoreML on-device inference, complex SwiftUI animations, or Apple Watch companion features that React Native handles poorly.
- Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (priority three). When the app is Android-first or the team has Kotlin expertise, or when Galaxy Watch / Wear OS depth is required.
Backend stacks shipped in production: Node.js / Express on AWS, .NET on Azure, Next.js API routes, Supabase, Firebase. Backend is part of the Build engagement when a mobile product needs it; we do not take backend-only work.
Published case study evidence
- 0.7★ → 4.4★ over 18 months of focused rescue work on a React Native healthcare therapy app. Cold start cut from 3 seconds to under 0.5. Crashes reduced from 500-1,000 to 50-100 per release.
- 9-month Xamarin to React Native migration on a healthcare codebase, dual-store approval cleared in 4 weeks at submission. Client team owned the new codebase by handoff.
- 5× customer growth (100 → 500+) on the rescue engagement above, weeks before the anchor client would have walked.
